Bust out the bunting… To the victor, the spoils! Our Shock Hop Troops have triumphantly returned from the battalefront, carrying our very first low alcohol beer, shoulder high. Space Race is a deliciously tasty 0.5% craft pale ale packed with rich citrus flavours and enticing floral aromas.
Alcohol-free beers can be made in a variety of ways: diluting the brew for instance (like making a weak soft drink), limiting fermentation or eliminating fermentation altogether. Our low alcohol pale ale however, is made in the most sophisticated way - as befits the most powerful and technologically advanced force in the galaxy.
Using a process called reverse osmosis, a 4.5% ABV beer is passed through a ‘de-alcoholiser’ (no, seriously), which filters and retains the larger flavour molecules whilst letting the smaller alcohol particles pass through. Much like the Legion’s recruitment policy. The beer is then dry-hopped to tweak the flavour profile and, voila!
The result is a full-bodied, aromatic and fruity pale ale with caramel notes and a malty backbone, balanced by an unmistakable citrus kick and a smooth bitter finish. In fact, just the sort of near zero percentage craft ale that heroic Stormtroopers and loyal subjects of the Emperor alike, deserve.

As a stormtrooper I can drink this refreshing and tasty low alcohol brew without it affecting my blaster aim
I tried LOTS of low alcohol beers this January. This was 100% the best of the bunch — genuinely hard to believe it’s only 0.5%
After the initial 'getting to know you' can or two, I'm hooked on this beer! A guilty pleasure, with zero guilt.
I've tried a lot of low alcohol drinks and I can honestly say this is up there with one of the best. I think most would struggle to tell that it's actually low alcohol and that's really saying something. This will certainly make Dry January that bit easier!
